The Michael Cage Foundation has formed a boys U13 travel basketball team, called the FBC Elite Basketball Club, coached by 15 year NBA veteran Michael Cage and a few select coaches that reflect his passion for working with young people. Michael shares his vast knowledge and experience in basketball that spans 29 years covering college, Olympic and professional basketball platforms. Michael, who believes very strongly in mentoring, also lends his expertise in that field along with his staff.

I have always believed that you are a student first and an athlete second. The FBC Elite Basketball team stresses the importance of academics and sports while making an impact in the world around you regardless of where you are from! We have grade school and college professors who are assisting in academic development as well as strength and conditioning personnel. Student athletes are required to maintain passing grades, although passing grades may not be required to get on this team. They are required to get passing grades to stay, and we are doing everything to make that possible.

Student athletes are encouraged to take responsibility for their young lives and be held accountable for their actions. On occasion, this elite basketball team travels abroad as goodwill ambassadors of the United States to meet and play against other student athletes from around the world or less fortunate kids.

This is an elite travel basketball team that plays at a high level in highly competitive tournaments throughout the year. Players on this team are required to perform a certain number of community service activities throughout the year. We have always believed that sports and academics is not enough. We believe that you have to invest your time in community and people and the best way for kids to learn this is while they are young.

We hope to expand this next year to include a girls team as well! We encourage individual and corporations that share this vision to lend their support through sponsorship as this is a fully sponsored team at no cost to the kids.

We can be contacted through the feedback form on the young ballers page!

Warm Regards, Michael Cage and staff

As a way of giving back to his community, Michael Cage keeps involved with today's youth through programs like Blacktop Basketball, appearances at local schools, and encouraging words.

Through interactive games and other activities, this area is dedicated to keeping kids active, healthy, and motivated toward making the right choices as they grow.
